Has anyone experienced amonia breath from Lupus related kidney issues and what is the treatment

Yes. Used to happen all the time, still have it if I get a bad treatment. How is your creatinine? Are you seeing a nephrologist? Mine didn't go away until I started dialysis! What you are smelling is basically your bodies toxins. Gross I know but what it is. You can also start smelling like that so keep your hygiene up!! Good luck!

Does it smell like dill pickles? Once and awhile I smell dill pickles and don't have any near me.

Amy how long did u have Lupus before they made the diagnosis official and how sick did u get before they decided yes it's Lupus

I started having joint paints on Sep 16, 2007, had to wait for insurance to kick in at my job, went straight to rheumy (RA runs in family) and he drew blood work, went back a month later and was diagnosed with lupus. I was classic book work lupus except butterfly rash. Every blood test they ran checking for lupus came back positive showing it was lupus. They actually started me on plaquenil and daypro my very first apt. Then a year later I had to switch doctors cause mine wasn't listening to me and my kidneys failed for the first time shortly after that.

i feel like a ticking time bomb. i started having joint pain in 2008 along with extreme fatigue. still no definitive answers. my blood work shows problems starting with my pancreas now and my left side hurts all the time. i just don't know what else to do
