need help question about lupus

The symptom Lyme and Lupus are so very similar it would hard for a non medical professional to give you those answers in my opinion. If you feel your current treatment is not working or perhaps your symptoms are increasing I urge you to ask your specialist to test you for lupus. If nothing else this will give you peace of mind.

Lyme and Lupus do have similar symptoms, however, they need different doctors to treat them. Lupus is managed by a rheumatologist and ideally a team of support specialists--cardiac doc, lung doc, kidney doc, dermatologist, neurologist, orthopedist, psychiatrist, ophthalmologist, gastroenterologist. Plus any other doctor for any other medical issues you may have. Lyme disease is more often managed and diagnosed by an infectious disease doctor, who hopefully draws on the above team members as needed.
I have had lupus for 19 years diagnosed plus 6 years of doctors telling me I was just depressed. My son was diagnosed with Lyme disease about 6 weeks after my husband got two deer ticks off his head after going camping.

Isn't the rashes and the butterfly rash called Discord Lupus? They thought I had lyme disease at first. I never had any rashes I have SLE Lupus.

In my little town there is only one rheumatologist so I travel 30 miles one way to see another. I don't have any confidence in the one that is here in my town.
