So with my recent new diagnosis of a 'lupus-like' disease instead of an 'arthritis-like' disease I guess I feel better that after more than 7 years I've finally found a doctor that is willing to take that extra step and give me an 'almost certain' diagnosis. I have this as well as fibromyalgia.
I have scared myself stupid, as I'm sure a lot of forum residents have, by trying to self-diagnose through the years. Now finally I can narrow this down to try and better understand what's going on with me.
A couple of things I've noticed in addition to the usual symptoms I have (muscle and joint pain, leg weakness, terrible inflammation, pain from my scalp down to my toes, bowel problems, eye problems etc) I have started with nose sores too. I have had probably four in the last two months. These come on without having a cold or flu or anything and last three or four days at least before they go away. The sore will come to a head and I usually have to
squeeze my nose to 'deflate' it and then it starts to go away. I just wondered if anyone else has these nose sores and what they do to treat them/cope with them. If I don't 'deflate' them, then it becomes difficult to breathe through that nostril.
I have also realized I have a strange symptom with my voice too, as I sometimes out of the blue
have problems talking, and my voice sometimes goes away completely. Does anyone else have this? I guess it's another one of those things I will have to learn to live with?
