Hi Diana:
Sounds like you've been through a lot. I have a couple of questions for you, have you been DX'd with Lupus? What kind of Dr are you seeing, is it a Rheumy? If you're not seeing a Rheumy I would strongly recommend that you see one. They are the best at putting together this kind or stuff.
It does sound like you had a stomach bug, are you still vomiting and having diarrhea? It's interesting that you mentioned that you've had Bells Palsy, I've had it 3 times in my life. I've had it twice on my right side of my face and once on my left, I was only 7 years old when I had my first case. I then proceeded to have it reoccur every 7 years, the Dr's had no idea as to why I got it.
I too had serious issues with my tonsils as a kid and struggled with them until I was 31. I had them removed at that time and all my infection issues went away for at least my throat. I've been dealing with lupus for 26 years now. It took my Doctors 13 years before they started to acknowledge that I even had lupus. They began to treat my lupus in June of 2001. I have to admit I truly believe that waiting so long to start treatment on me is what caused me to be so ill now.
I too have had rashes that look like ring worm, but mine would be very purple looking in the center. I also get rashes that look like chicken pox and that's what my dermatologist too a biopsy and it came back at lupus. I've never had anything come back positive about Lyme disease in any of my tests.
I'm not a Doctor and I can only offer up my personal opinion, but I'm wondering if maybe you have to much stress going on in your life and it's causing you to flare up more. Another thing I might question is I know you mentioned that you're still breast feeding your daughter. It's possible that your body is run down a lot and it's having a hard time keeping up, per say, with feeding her. I would suggest that you get into see a Rheumy ASAP, if you've not already seen one. If the Dr you've been seeing is one, I would RUN not walk to the next one and get a Second Opinion ASAP.
Try to get as much rest as you can, drink plenty of fluids, and sleep when your body tells you should. I know that this last one is hard to do, but try. Try not to worry to much about the blood in your urine. Lots of people get that and for no reason really. Try to limit the amount of stress that you're under and just rest as much as you can.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, as there are many folks here that have loads of knowledge. Hang in there and you'll start feeling better really soon, once you get the right doctor on board.
Hugs,
Barbara
