Hi everybody,
I'm an SLE patient, my disease is currently inactive. Suddenly I started to lose the vision in both of my eyes, to different extents. The optometrists I consulted and who diagnosed my eyes were probably as conclusive as they can be, but the diagnosis seems to be somewhat uncertain to me, so I decided to share a summary of the findings, hoping that somebody can comment on them.
In my right eye, the membrane between the vitreous and the fundus is split. Bleeding is visible behind the membrane, which hides the fundus, but the papilla is somewhat visible. My vision is completely blurry on this eye.
The vision is much better in my left eye, but it shows the symptoms of retinoschizis: vitreoretinal adhesion and traction. Bleeding is also visible behind the vitreos.
Has anybody in this forum experienced anything similar?
Thank you,
Maria
