Feeling terrible for past month

I havent been on this site for awhile so I just wanted to start off by saying hi to everyone again. This past month has been very rough. I have been having chronic chest pains and i had a very stange incident where I woke up in the middle of night with severe stomach pains so bad I had to go to the hospital. The next day however I was just fine. I actually looked up something I guess lupus sufferers can get (amoungst all the other things) called acute stomach. I have also been having strange incident of feeling very weak and my arms and legs have gone numb.I also have been very short of breath especially if I move around to much. I also had a really bad jolt last night through my body. I have had leg twitches in the past but this time my entire body like jolted kind of like a really bad chill. My boyfriend who I was next to asked me what was wrong and I just lied and I said I was cold because he has been so worried lately. Has anyone ever expierenced these symptoms? I have been doing pretty good with my lupus so this is all very upsetting to me. To make matter worse I have been trying to contact my Rheumy for 3 weeks and I can not get ahold of him. I just tried again today and again I have gotten no where. I did see my GP who  perscribed  noproxan and  also a medication for acid reflux. I am affraid to take the noproxan due to past issues I have had with hives on a much lower dose of anti inflmatories and the reflux med did give some relief but just some and I am still having pains. She thinks this may be a falir but doesnt want to perscribe my plaq again until I see my Rheumy I am so fustrated I mean I love my Dr but I am about to fax a letter to his office requesting my files and that be that.

Hello Lawchick. I am new here and just came across your post. I have had the same exact thing you described. I have had it happened twice. Once I was walking up the stairs and my left arm went numb and all the power went out of it. The other time, I was waking up in the morning and it happened in BOTH arms. It is the weirdest feeling ever! For me it was a feeling of instant exhaustion and it only lasted for about a minute or two. What a horrible disease:(

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back on here I have just been so under the weather lately. Lynwood I finally did hear from my Rheumy he was appologetic he has a new office staff and I dont think he is getting the messages. I am forgiving of him because he is the first doctor who truly ever helped me. I went for all kinds of tests and one came back abnormal and that was a pulmonary function test. I have been very out of breath lately it just hits me. I have also been very fatigued and when I am out of breath I get these strange headaches like not enough oxygen type headaches. Still waiting for a second Pulmonary doc to review the test. To make matters worse I am dealing with all this while not being able to take a day off from work due to office staff being cut. Sometimes I feel like I am going to literally drop.

Brismom im sorry you are dealing with that. I know how scary and terrible it feels. Last night my legs were feeling numb it must be a nerve thing.

Snowcone are you still dealing with stomach pain? This was truly such a strange episode. It was the worst pain I ever felt in my life and its not like I ate anything bad or did anything differnt that would cause it. Luckily I havent had it happen again.
