chronic eosinophilic pneumonia?

Hi lynnlaurie. The only thing I know is that eosinophiles increase in the blood due to allergies and oddly, trichinosis (a rare pork parasite from poorly cooked pork). Oh, I also found if you ingest too much of the amino acid L-tryptophan and your body doesn't metabolize it normally it can lead to an autoimmune response. Best thing I can glean from all this is an allergic reaction that effects your lungs could possibly lead to pneumonia. Perhaps because one's immune system isn't strong enough to fight off the pneumonia, but I'm really reaching for this answer.... I'm sorry I can't be of more help. Love, Butterflake
