Immunologist

Hi Lisabeans. I saw an immunologist while I was searching for a diagnosis. He was pleasant, took some blood to see if l was allergic to a few things and asked many questions about substances that might cause allergic reactions, including my work environment. He didn't get me any closer to a diagnosis, but I felt that he was very thorough. I hope your visit goes well. Love, Butterflake

I would not see an immunologist unless you had a specific reason for doing so. A good friend is an immunologist/allergist and has autoimmune diseases but sees a rheumatologist, not someone in her specialty. Rheumies are the doctors who are best trained and prepared to diagnose and treat most autoimmune diseases like lupus.
