Depending on symptoms, people with lupus can or can't work. Someone must quit job while others are able to work. For me, I can still work in spite of lupus. If your treatment plan doesn't improve your symptoms and worsens the disease, should consult with your rheumatologist again. Because you can't do anything when lupus symptoms are severe, it's important to relieve them. Besides, you need to be patient as lupus medications sometimes take several months or longer to show results.
Lifestyle changes, healthy diet and supplements are also essential to deal with lupus.
- reduce stress
- avoid proceesed, packaged and fast foods
- avoid sun exposure, smoking and too much alcohol
- should eat more omega 3s foods, vegetables and fruits
- should take rest and have enough sleep
- should choose mild exercise, such as aqua therapy or low- impact yoga
- take vitamin B12 and Lupufree supplements (I used to take them during treatment plan as my doctor gave them to me. You should ask your rheumatologist if you wanna take)
Hope my experience can be useful for you
