I started taking CellCept almost a month ago. I tolerated the initial dose well, but now that I have increased the amount I take each day, I am feeling pretty bad. I am not nauseous; what happens is that I will be fine and then all of a sudden my abdominal muscles are contracting so forcefully that I have to jump up and run to the bathroom to throw up. I don't bring up any food--I just dry heave. I am also having a skin reaction; it basically feels like I spent six hours in the sun without sunscreen and got a bad sunburn. My lips burn, my scalp burns and itches, and I have patches on my arms that feel sunburned and actually look pink. Will this improve after I've been on the higher dose for a little while? I sure hope so. I am miserable. The CellCept IS working to relieve my lupus symptoms, but I can't live like this for more than a couple of weeks. I can't go out and do anything because I end up dry heaving and either shaking with chills or feeling like I am going to sweat to death.
