As a member of the "fairest of fair skin" club, and now that I am dealing with this disease and cant get in the sun without risking a bad flare, I have to say I have embraced the self tanners.  After trial and error, and quite a few dollars, I found that the Aveeno Moisturizing Self tanner (for light skin) was the most natural looking.  I tried the Jergens, Loreal, and Dove, but they all gave that orange tint that screams self tanner.  And on the days that I just dont feel like struggling to slather that stuff all over without feeling like I have just been bent like a pretzel, I just slip on the sandals and go anyway.  If they dont want to be blinded they can put on their shades!   cool

Thanks for the info.  I had posted in another thread that I have found two products that work very well for me. 

1. Tan Towels from Home Shopping Netowrk - for me they offer the most natural looking tan with no streaks and no mess.

2. Coppertone Spectra 50 spf Sunblock - I am naturally very fair and burn very easily.  To top it off I now live in Florida where the sun can be brutal.  I went to an airshow in Tampa a few wekks ago and put this sunblock on and did not get any sunburn after sitting outside on the tarmack for a couple of hours.  Of course I also had my umbrella but the sun can be so intense down here that I can get burned (and an ugly rash) even with sitting under the umbrella.
