Hi everyone. This might be gross to some, but I am concerned.

I possibly having Lupus, we are waiting on blood test results.

I have been having a really difficult time with my stomache the last 2 weeks. It has been hard to eat as I have no appetite and when I do eat I feel sick and get really tired. I was wondering if having blood in my vomit is something I should address immediately (ER) or can it wait until I see my dr on Monday. I am also having bad stomach cramps as well. I hate the ER and try to avoid it if possible because they usually tream like I am crazy when I describe my symtoms, but this is kind of alarming.

Get it checked out immediately I would think.  I would also call your Dr. and see what they recommend - make sure you talk with your dr or a nurse that will speak to your dr. or another dr ASAP.

Just my 2 cents, I would not wait - any form of bleeding that comes that way needs to be investigated right away.

Thanks so much, for your advice. I am trying not to seem like a nutcase hypocondriac so I usually hesitate to call my dr when new things come up. I will call them as soon as their office opens up.

I agree with Ellen. Get this checked out immediately. Vommiting blood is never normal and should be given immediate attention. I absolutely hate the ER too but sometimes unfortunately it is necessary. Good luck and keep us updated.

Oh yes, get it checked ASAP if you haven't already and if they treat you like a hypochondriac then they are crazy. I know what you mean about the ER - I have yet to have a good experience in our ER. I hope you have already gone to the doc. Please let us know what they said when you are feeling up to posting. Take care

Called my rheumy and they told me not to worry about it because my blood tests came back normal so really nothing is seriously wrong again............I must have that awful bleeding stomach flu that has been going around. That's it I have decided to swear off doctors. Maybe since this is all in my head I can think really hard until I feel better and I won't need them anymore. The blood must have been imaginary. There are such things as imaginary friends so why not imaginary blood. It can go right along with my imaginary rash and imaginary swelling and pain. Anyone know where to find a good "imaginary" doctor?

Sorry I am very frustrated thanks for all your advice.

Hi Steph:

(((hugs))) sorry that your doctor blew you off. I still think if your vomiting up blood that it's something serious. If it were me I'd go into the ER and have them check your stomach anyway. It's not a pleasant thing to have done, but you'd be able to be 100% sure you're not bleeding in your stomach.

I had blood in my vomit once a long time ago, and the ER staff were able to rule out anything serious. I hope that you'll go into the ER if you get worse. Please take care and try to get lots of rest. Looking forward to hearing from you again.

((((Steph)))). I really feel frustrated for you and can tell you that I have been there myself where I felt that no one in the medical community was listening to me - it's a terrible feeling. We are here for you through all of this. If you do have lupus it is possible you are in the early stages and that your labs are not reflecting what is going on in your body. Feel free to keep posting here as long as you want. There are other people here in diagnosis limbo too. Hang in there and I agree with Barb about getting to the ER especially if you continue to vomit blood. Take care

No more vomiting. Just feel really sick and having stomach cramps. Probably just a bug that is aggravated by the fact that my stomach is in a delicate shape to begin with (been having problems eating). The whole thing is just frustrating but the feeling is not new. I guess its time for more doctor shopping. thanks for your help :) I can stick with my fibro DX for now. At least its something.
