Hi Everyone, it's been a long time since I last posted. It's been a very rough summer for me. I hope that everyone is doing well and fine.Long story, my pcp referred me to a hemo/oncol for a second dx and treatment. The problem was that he didn't agree with my other hemo/oncol treatment plan. He let my iron stores go down to nothing and that's when I start having problems with anemia/luekopenia. I was so ill, I went back to my other hemo/oncol, who was glad to see me back, he ran tests and the next day I was in for a 5hr. iron/dextran infusion. It's been a few weeks now, but I'm getting stronger. My fibro has been very bad, and my new lower back problems are a misery. I see a pain management physician on a regular basis and he manages my pain medication and therapy.
I've popped in from time to time to see how everyone is doing, but I wasn't up to writing. Tomorrow, at 7:30 a.m, I have an appointment with my original rheumie. It will be good to see him again, it's been about 5 yrs. After traveling all over the state for years, hoping to find the best care, I have found here, closer to home. If I ever need it, I don't want to be in a hospital so far away my family won't be able to see me. There's also something very comforting in being close to home for healthcare.
I hope that everyone has a good evening, and a good night's rest, Peaceful Harpist
