Being tested for Lupus

Hi Susie!! Welcome to the forum! So sorry you have overlapping diseases. I'm hoping that the meds for one are helpful to the other issues. I have read that the largest portion of our immune system is in the digestive tract, so its logical that lots of us have GI issues. I encourage you to read the info "Lupus Resources" posts. We've found that we can post some sticky messages to tag onto the one that Peter started. So we've gathered quite a bit of help right there. Knowledge is power . . . so learning all you can about your health issues will prove to be very helpful in talking to your doctors and trying to figure out how to deal with all of your symptoms. You will hear lots here about "pacing yourself" . . . we tend to have limited energy and most of us find that we really get into trouble when we push too hard and do too much. Hi, Susie and welcome. I have lupus and my dad has Crohn's. SO sorry you may have both. It's very valuable to read all the info. you can get your hands on regarding lupus, like others have already noted. It is such a difficult disease. Many things can be effected so each person could probably tell you of different ways or systems in their bodies it effects. Rest does seem to be a main key. Fatigue is a big complaint among many. There are also GI issues. Several organs can also be involved including the brain. Hopefully, with the other problems you are already dealing with if you have lupus, maybe it will be a mild case.
