Hi everyone,

sorry I've been away for so long. Hope your all doing okay.

I've just got home from the hospital this week. I've had a kidney infection and something called urosepsis. Been really quite ill with it for weeks. My blood sugar started to get affected as I was vomiting so much and unable to eat. Had to go on an insulin infusion via the IV and then have IV antiiotics and a drip to keep me hydrated. Feeling a little better today so thought I'd post while I could. I've just finished the antiiotic course and had to hand in a sample at my docs today. They are going to ring me if the infection hasn't cleared. Anyway, will speak more later. x x

Uh oh!! Glad they got this figures out Lion. Hugs to you sis . . . sounds like you've had a really bad time of it. Keep us posted. Blessings!

Hi lion, sorry you were so sick but glad you are on the mend. I've been having problems not being able to urinate and now my sugar and cortisol and other stuff seems to be getting elevated. No one knows why. It's awful because I'm getting sick. Its probably only a micro bit of what you've been going through, but I feel for you and am glad they figured it out and are fixing it.

Hi Lion I've been thinking about you alot lately and wondering how you were doing. It sounds like you havn't been doing to well at all. I am so sorry! ((((((((Lion))))))))))). When is doctor supposed to know if the infection is gone or not? Oh bless your heart it sounds like you have had just a terrible time. I'm glad you are doig better and hope you are truly on the mend. Try to rest and let us in on the update when you can.

I'm glad you are on the mend and out of the critical places.  Keep us posted on how you're doing.

Oh lion, how awful. What you went through really does sound scary - you've been really sick for a while now. I'm sorry that so many of your symptoms and new health problems don't seem to be under control. Please take good care of yourself. Hang in there and know that we are here for you. ((( Lion ))). I'm SO sorry to hear what you've been going through. I knew it has been a while since you last posted and were dealing with the blood sugar crap. I hope your infection will be gone and they now have you on the path to feeling better! Good luck and please keep us updated.

Hi, thanks to you all for your kind words.
Well, I got a call from my GP's office today. This is unbelievable. I handed in my sample last Friday for testing to ensure the antibiotics had worked and the infection was gone. I got a call today to say my sample had been "delayed" in getting to the lab and could I drop in another one! Delayed my backside. It's took them a week to ring me and let me know this, and in the meantime my Kidneys could be getting more damaged. And to "drop another one in" is a 30mile round trip. Not good when I'm still not right, have a bad cold and my daughter had terrible flu! Are all surgeries this incompetent, or just mine????

Hi, Lion. I'm SO sorry you've had more dumped on you to deal with. Unfortunately, these days lots of places are that incompetent! I think it's an overload problem. Too many people in need of help and then the people that are providing the help, either don't care or are rushed so they half do to get done. Just try to get them another sample and we'll have to pray that the infection is gone and it was all needless worry. You take care and I hope that you and your daughter are feeling better.
