Pediatric Rheumatologists?

We finally got to see a pediatrician who took my son's joint pain seriously, and now I'm trying to find a good pediatric rheumatologist.

Does anyone have any experience--good, bad, neutral--with ped. rheumatologists in DC/Northern Virginia or in the Richmond/Charlottesville area?

We haven't tried there yet. I'd like to hear specific recommendations from others first. We see an allergist there for consult, and he's been great. But we also had a horrible experience with an immunologist there, and, since my 5-year-old has spent much of his life going to doctors, I'd really like to avoid an experience like that again.
