Hair & Meds

Hey there...
Just wanted to post an update.
In another post, we were discussing being on all the drugs and getting a perm. Carol mentioned there was something the salon could put in your hair to strip the meds out so the perm would take.

Called the salon last night and asked about it. They call it a "Malibu treatment". Not sure if that is what everybody calls it. But - I just have to go in a half an hour earlier. They put this stuff on my hair and put me under the dryer. Apparently, it opens the hair follicle and gets the drugs out. It will cost another $15.00 for the treatment. At this point, I would pay $500! LOL

Anyway - thanks for the "heads up" on that.

I was just thinking about you and wondering how you were doing today...

I'm excited for my perm!  You're right - lupus does take a lot out of us.  Isn't it funny how a little thing like a perm can change an attitude!  (At least, I'm hoping it changes mine a little!  LOL)  Just the thought of being able to get out of bed and give my hair a little fluff and be on my way...  One less thing to stress me out in the morning.
