It has been a long, strange journey. I have chronic pain from 3 bulging discs, spinal stenosis and facet hypertrophy and scoliosis. But recently, I have been cold constantly. Blood test revealed very mild anemia which led to appointment with hemotologist which led to ct scan that showed enlarged spleen (just by 1 cm), an enlarged thymus and enlarged lymph node (very very minor). Hemo said to do nothing until May.
Meantime, Primary Care Doc dx'ed me with psoriatric arthritis. Hemo said I had a ton of arthritis and my Sed Rate was elevated in blood tests.
Still, I am fatigued, itching, with periods of malaise, lack of appetite, weight loss...etc. Came down with Lupus type mask on face.
Then, 2 weeks ago, blood in urine. CT Scan showed possible kidney stone, so I let the blood resolve itself which it did.
New blood test showed normal red cell count, but platelets were 131,000 vs. 150,000 low normal.
Decided to see new hemo who felt this was result of dental infection. He basically poo pooed all of the non-normal blood readings as being too minor.
Even though I am a stock and option trader, this guy insulted me by telling me that if I couldn't afford it, univeristy pre med students could do the dental work for free.
Anyway, he felt I needed to see a rheumy and I agree. So I am seeing one that I saw years ago before I had health problems and symptoms.
This guy said I was not chilled, but cold and he blamed that and the way I feel on the dental problems.
But no one has done a urine test. After I peed blood, for a few days I had a glossy film like urine with bubbles and foam which could be protein and a sign of many different things.
I will update after the appointment Monday.
