Lupus and influenza

I just have a quick question.  With influenza running rampid in my workplace and everywhere, I guess I just want to know if your doctors have recommended you get in to see someone immediately if you suspect it, or should you just get plenty of rest and fluids like they tell regular people.  I really meant to call my doctor today, and he's out of the office on Wednesdays and I'm starting to feel a little funny.  I 've had the flu shot and pneumonia shot, so I've taken the precautions.  Also, I just started Methotrexate in October, so I'm maybe a little paranoid about getting the flu.  Anyways, I'm hoping someone on here has talked to their doctor about this.  Thanks!

Hi Firebabe, like Bab's said, if your having symptoms see your doctor. My doctor told me to never try to ride out anything. If I start to feel sick to get in right away. But than I'm not even allowed to run 100degree temp without going in. Better safe than sorry. I have had my flu and pneumonia shots as well and still got the flu and pneumonia so go figure?????????
