This is an embarrasing topic but......

I was wondering if anyone else has trouble peeing.  I've had tests done about a year ago because I was having incontinence, I was told I had overactive bladder and urinary hesitancy likely due to nerve damage from neuropathies.  But lately it's much worse I feel like I have to go and I sit there for 5 minutes just to get a little.  Then I stand up and shortly thereafter have an accident.  I just wanted to know if anyone else had a similar problem, it's very frustrating. Hi Catzz, actually alot of us have that problem. I notice it more when I am taking pain meds for some reason. My dr said she thinks I have a tipped bladder. This may sound strange but try shifting your body left and right and foward and back ward. That is what my doctor told me to do. It does seem to help some. I don't normally have problems with getting there fast enough but I do have the problem of getting started even if my bladder feels really full. Many times I only tinkle a little and I'm on a dieretic in my BP meds to help keep me from retaining fluids. Usually I can hold it for a long time but the strangest thing happened last month. Mt doctor gave me a shot of steroids in my back because I was having horrible muscle spams, for some reason it was like somone turned on a faucet. I had just enough time to get to the bathroom (barely). That happened several times that day than it went away. I hope your doctor can help you out with this.

It may not be a bladder issue but a kidney issue. It is possible that you have a stone. With the meds and your dx you really should have another test especially since your symptoms have changed. Please let your dr know about this change. Good luck!

I have interstitial cystitis, so I do this every so often. Mostly in my sleep, and I have some "leaking." Get your inflammation rates tested and talk to a urologist to make sure.
