lupron shot

Hello everybody,

It's been a long long time since I lasted posted. I met with the kidney doc today and it looks like I'm heading down the cytocan road. If my blood work (GFR and creatine) doesn't improve within a week, he will immediately start me on the chemo. I'm 30 and want to eventually have children, so I want to take the lupron shot. Does anyone know if there is a time limit before taking the shot and recieving cyctoxan. Also, what are some tips for nausea.

I'm sorry you are facing this. I have down 9 rounds of Cytoxan in the past. I was pre-medicated with Zofran iv for nausea. It last for several hours after the treatments and then I had zofran sublingual tabs to bring home. I had to avoid anything that smelled strong. Even if it wasn't malodorous it would bother me. I'm not sure about the lupron shot, it wasn't an issue for me. Good luck and let us know how it goes. Judy
