Hi Everyone I'm new here but not to Lupus. I was diagnosed in 2003. My doctor yesterday labeled me as permanently disabled and told me to apply for SSI since I don't have enough points for SSD. Anyways I also have Rheumatoid arthritis and Raynauds possibly Fibromyalgia I haven't gotten tested yet but my doctor  said he suspects it. I'm 40 years old and single not working live with my parents because I'm their care giver. I just wanted to say hello and I hope I make a lot of new friends here. Warm wishes and hugs, Belinda

I'm sure I will like it here. I find its better to find people who know what it is I'm going through instead of trying to go it alone. I find I still morn the person I used to be and wish I could get that strength back. But, I also know that that door has closed and a new one has opened. This is a lesson in my life that my creator wants me to learn and put to a greater purpose. Right know I have no idea what that is.lol Thanks again and I hope to be talking with more people soon. Hi Belinda and welcome. THis is a great forum and it's so nice to have a place to come where people can really understand and relate to what you are going through. Lupus can be kind of a lonely disease because it's really hard for healthy people to understand the daily struggles we go through. You'll find lots of support and understanding here. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now with your illnesses and also caring for your parents. Take care and I'm glad you joined us.

I am pretty new to this group as well but everyone here has been very friendly and helpful. I'm sorry you are having such a rough time of it but from what I have seen so far this group is pretty supportive and knowledgable. Welcome!

Hi Belinda,

   Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry your dealing with all these diseases. This is a wonderful place for support and friendship.

   I was disabled at 40 as well. It was very hard to accept and I still struggle with it at times but life goes on and I'm doing pretty good at 50.... :-) . I hope you like it here and make alot of friends. Please take care and feel free to ask all the questions you want and share anything with us. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Wow, It feels like a warm hug. You all are so welcomming. I hope to be able to post on here more in a few days. Do anyone of you find that your pain seems to worsen during that time of month? Mine does, its strange how hormones can wreck havoc in the body. I hope everyone is having a warm and safe day. Surviveit
