Hi,
As some of you may know I'm currently waitng for an ALJ hearing date RE; SSD. My State disability ended in 11/07, my DR had me off work till 1/2008, but our family needed my income too, so I'm working PT making less then $700 a mo. I can't beleive that even working part-time, I struggle so much w/body pain and fatigue, other bad problems too. I had to tell my boss last month of my illness and that I may have to request certain days as my days off, she was ok w/it. Some days my illness does affect my performance and I notice her just staring at me, one time I asked to leave early, I had told her on the phone the reason, when I whent into her office, she asked me again why I needed to leave, I had to explain it again in frnt of another person who had no knowledge of my illness. I felt terrible.
Today, a co-worker told me that last week another co-worker started talking about me, saying 'she didn't want to climb the ladder when I told her to, she don't look sick either and my mom had it too, and she was fine', my co-worker defended me by telling her off...saying..I know she is sick and I can see her pain in her eyes, maybe she hurt that day u asked her' she told her more things too, the co-worker then walked off.
I'm so glad my co-worker stood up for me, I had no idea this had happened. I thanked her.
Isn't it terrible how people will talk bad about you and the illness that they don't see every day.
Do y'all think me working and doing an old past job and working PT, will hurt my case when I go before the judge? a this is what Denial letter said I could do frm prev. experience.
Thanks
