I had a very weird thing happen to me last night. For two weeks I have felt as if something was stuck in the back of my throat. Sort of like a popcorn kernel that just didn't want to go down. I looked and looked.. gargled, you name it and nothing. Some days I would notice more. Well last night, I took a look and there was a large, white spot on my right tonsil. I won't go into details on what happened next but I was horrified! After googling "white spot on tonsil" it looks like it is a Tonsil Stone. I have never heard of such a thing! Plus, I have never had such a thing either!
Of course, I am chalking it up to having Lupus even though most of the websites I have visited say it has nothing to do with your immune system. This morning.. I was so relieved that the spot was gone, but now I see another one. 
I have very good oral hygiene but I guess I will have to ask my dentist this week when I go in for my cleaning. I don't suppose any of you have experience with these? If so, how do you get rid of them for good besides having your tonsils out?
