OK, I just read a host of topics on here, and I didn't realize there's a difference in skin Lupus, and internal Lupus. What are the tell tell signs of These two different types of Lupus? I have Lyme disease, and Fibro. Today my doc. told me I have to go to a rheumy. because my Lupus test came back risen. I have so many issues I don't know what to look for, I wouldn't even know if I have Lupus. I'm quite shocked actually. Does it cause nerve damage, and severely dry skin? What about constant thirst? I know Lymes does. This is just awful, I hope someone can tell me what are a few main symptoms, thank you.

Checkout the link "4 of 11" at the bottom of my signature...it'll give you the main symptoms, but mostly just setup a rheumy appt and trust the drs. They can decide what to look for and do the looking, that's what they're paid for! Meantime, try not to worry -- there is NO SUCH THING as a definitive lupus test!! Your dr is probably referring to a rise in an ANA test -- which can be a number of other things besides Lupus...all of which are things a rhuemy knows about . Hang in there!
