ehhh shingles

So I guess that rash I have is Shingles. Not fun at all. Seems like Im getting one thing after another. It's not helping that I have Exams for school too. Suprisingly with all of this going on, such as lupus, mono, hashi's and now shingles, Im going to end my freshman year with all A's and B's. A long summers rest will be nice. If anyone here has ever had Shingles and has some advice that would be wonderful. Thanks. I see my rhumey tomorow and go down to 10mg Pred!

Hi!  I am so sorry to hear you have shingles.  They are no fun at all.  I had them about 5 or 6 years ago.  Have you seen a doctor?  Did they give you anything?  I waited a few days because I thought it was something else and so the med. that my doc gave me did not work as well.  Be sure and take all that they give you.  I still have some pain associated with them.  It is not as intense, but it is still painful.  My doc also gave me a pain patch to put on them.  It helped, but I was allergic to it and had to stop.  My grandmother used neosporin plus pain and she said it helped hers a lot.
