Good Afternoon all :)

I have been reading this forum for a week or so and have learned so much from you all. Thank you.  I have not gotten a dx of Lupus, but plan on visiting my Dr. and having her look into the possiblity.  'I' think I have Lupus, it seems to match my issues perfectly. I have suffered with so many issues over the years. Fatigue being one of the biggest issues. Joint pain, headaches, mouth sores, and recently I realized the rash on my face isn't just my skin changing as I age. Ha, I am only 35, but feel 100. With in the last month I have started losing a handful of hair in the shower everyday. And my 'current' health issue is the loss of use of my right hand and an injury to my foot that won't heal.

I don't have any specific questions at the moment. I am sure I can think of some, but I just came in from running errands and am beat and am in a brain fog.

Hi Kandi,

   Welcome to the forum. I'm glad you posted after reading for a few days. I'm sure you have already found this group to be awesome just from reading.

   It sounds like you have been having a hard time. I hope you get more definate answers soon and the right treatment plan to help you feel better. Are you seeing a Rheumatologist? They are the best doctors to diagnose and treat lupus.

  Please ask all the questions you want and share anything with us. We will help you in anyway we can. Take care and hope to hear from you again soon. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Welcome to the forum Kandi!! I hope your doctor appointment goes well. Make sure to read the post in "Lupus Resources" about preparing for a doctor appointment (link in my signature). It would be great if he/she would give you a referral to a rheumatologist sooner rather than later. The rheumy is just more knowledgeable about lupus. I hope you will keep us posted!! You certainly have something going on. Blessings!

Welcome Kandi! You have found a great place of support and friendship!

Like Rosie said, please be sure to check out the post about preparing for your doctor appointment. This will save you a lot of trouble and time. Getting a lupus diagnosis is very tricky for doctors and there are many different symptoms and tests to go through before coming to any conclusions. For some of us it has taken two to three years for a diagnosis and for others a diagnosis comes quickly.

Good luck to you and, please, stop by often. Almost any question you have can be answered by someone here who has experienced similar situations.

I just got back from the doctors. I called at 8:30 am for an appt and they had an opening at 10 am if I wanted it. I took it!! She hemmed and hawed about it being Lupus, but sent me for blood work. 5 vials yowzers! She did check my ANA and other stuff. She seems to think it is anemia eyes   whatever. I will wait to hear what the results are and then push for a rheumy appt.

She did decide to send me to get a sono of my uterus. Apparently when she asked about my cycles she didn't like my answer and thinks I might have fibroids.

I am anxious for my blood results!!

Welcome Kandi. I'm glad the doc ran all the bloodwork and I hope it gives you some answers. Some of the labs take a while to come back and the waiting can be hard. Please let us know what you find out.
