Hello HealingWell Community,

     my name is Katie and I just found out 5 days ago I have Lupus. I really dont know what to do and if I will be safe with Lupus.I wonder if a few of you can give me advice please.I am 22 years old female if you where wondering.I would love to hear from afew to tell me how to live with lupus and is it safe for my girl because I am 6 months pregnant.Well Talk to some of you soon hopefully and have a wonderful day.

Hi Katie!! Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you were diagnoise with lupus. What kind of meds are you on? I had two girls with lupus, that was 24 yrs ago. There is a woman on here that just had a baby. Hope this helps some. Debbie

H Katie, Welcome to the forum!! SO sorry you are dealing with this at such a young age and while you are expecting. I hope you can tell us what problems you are having. Lupus can affect most any part of the body and if you tell us your symptoms/questions, someone here is sure to have some suggestions. Also . . what meds, if any, are you taking and what has your doctor suggested? Are you seeing a rheumatologist? Are things going normal as far as your pregnancy? Hi Katie and welcome. I'm really sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It can be overwhelming at first, and probably even more overwhelming for you since you are pregnant. Please ask your doctor anything about your pregnancy, especially if you are worried. I'm glad you joined us - we'll try to answer your questions and we'll be here for support whenever you are going through a rough time.
