Lailisima, I didn't notice your posts until today, I feel bad for being so lax. I'm so sorry for your sister's untimely death. As Rosie said, that kind of rapidity is quite unusual for lupus. For most of us it is a long slow progression of symptoms that aren't necessarily death threating, although not minor either. Plus a large group that has to deal with organ involvement quite quickly. Otherwise, Rosie has pretty much said exactly what I would say -- I think we even have a number of the same links in our signatures! Auto-immune diseases are so very tricky, and they present totally differently with each individual patient, even within families - lupus is sometimes referred to as "the disease with 1000 faces" - or is it 10,000?, I've forgotten. I'm so glad your doctor is listening to you and taking the information seriously. Best of luck, and I look forward to your post.
