Hi Katie . . . In case no members live nearby . . . if you click on the link in my signature . . . "Lupus Chapter Locater" . . . you can find the Lupus Foundation Chapter nearest you and they will send you a list of Rheumies and other docs who treat autoimmune diseases. Another good method is to attend the nearest support group meeting and ask the member there. I found two really good docs that way. Blessings!

I know an excellent rheumetologist in Southfield. Dr. Marcia Johnson 28625 Northwestern Hwy, Southfield, MI (248) 355-5825 She is in a larger practice but I know nothing about
the other doctors. She saved my life literally and began treatment and dxed me when others said it was all in my head. Her father was the top doctor over here until he retired and now she is.

Audrey, we can post Doctor names with good comments. We just can't post a name with bad comments. because of legal issues the forum administrator has had to deal with in the past. Blessings!

Thank you. I called a few more today. I've got state insurance, so not many accept it.
Hopefully I'll get my appointment sooner than later, and be on my way to more answers. This is frustrating, Im only 24 years old. Never imagine to be going through this all.
My aunt got Lupus after her RAI treatment too. I wish I could discover some connection between the two and be rich. It's one thing to be sick but another to be sick and poor, and Im getting sick and tired of being sick, tired and poor.
