Well, this web site shows all the stuff being done in a good list.

While the "Common Cause" researchers hypothesize that all autoimmune diseases should be seen as manifestations of the same disorder with a common cause, the failure of the body to destroy "miseducated" well, incompletely educated, white blood cells, so that receptors are free to attack various tissues of the body, when these cells should be more discriminating or the cells destroyed by the body. They advocate using drugs which alter the immune response, but do not look for a deeper cause, just saying that in some people this process is just flawed.

The Marshall Protocol looks for a deeper cause for autoimmunity in unresolved infection with cell-wall deficient bacteria. These antibiotic resistant cell wall deficient bacteria linger in the body, with the help of the immunomodulating effects of vitamin D, which is being put in our food and milk in greater quantities. This combination, in some cases, they believe cause some cases of a variety of autoimmune diseases.
While any home medical manual may list bacterial causes for autoimmune conditions, like Hep C causing Hypothyroidism or TB causing Addison's, we are often treated for the disease and left to hope that it has gone away and that our bodies will recover. The Marshall Protocol people list cases where sarcoid lesions have been dissected and tested and shown to contain cell wall deficient bacterium in the core.
They focus on what they call TH1 inflammatory conditions, which they have protocols for testing for and treating, using a combination of antibiotics and other therapies in a research setting with some success. They have done a lot of research on the negative effects of light and vitamin D supplementation in food causing "dysregulation" in the body.
The site contains much information, pretty technical, and a list of diseases that the protocol has been effective for and a list of cell wall deficient bacteria/infections that they have found or believe can be an underlying cause for autoimmunity. Its interesting to look at. There are physicians and medical researchers on the site you can ask questions of. It's a good site and the people are doing a good job perhaps weeding out those who may have an infection at the root of their autoimmune symptoms, which is really important.

And the wikipedia about Trevor Marshall gives the good and bad:

I wonder what else is being done?
