Hi Everyone. My 82 year old Father is ill so Tory, my daughter, is driving me to see him. I hope to be back next week. I dread the 8 hour trip from Atlanta to Tampa and of course I'm a bit worried about my Dad. Tory and Tim (BF) are trying to help me keep positive so I don't flare. I'm going to buy an audio book today which will help with the drive. yeah Love, Butterflake

(((((Buterflake)))) I'm sorry to hear about your dad and I hope that he will improve. You'll be in my thoughts - I know how hard traveling is on you. Try to get as much rest as you can, although I know it's hard when you are away from home. You and your dad and family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Donna, I'm sorry to hear about your dad. It's strange the way things change. When we are young our folks worry about us and are invinsible. Watching them get older and sick is pretty hard to take. I'm glad you have people with you. It sounds like a great support system. Let us know when you can how things are going. Thoughts and prayers with you and your family

(((( Donna )))) I hope your long drive goes well and you find your Dad in great spirits. Did you know you could download books on tape from the library, online??? You can also check them out for a couple weeks at a time. I check them out and then renew on line if I'm away or need them longer. Let us know how you do with the long ride. Blessings!

Hi Hippi, Judy, Carol, Stacie and Rosie. I'm on a laptop in my Father's hospital room. He's very weak and we have to really encourage him to eat, but he is improving slowly. When he's discharged he will live with my brother here in Tampa which is great news! I gotta go! Love, Butterflake

Hey there, Donna. Glad that your father seems to be improving some; great news that he'll be able to live with your brother! Is your health holding up okay with all this traveling & stress? I hope so - thinking of you & your's.

Hi Donna, I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and your dad. I hope you aren't having too rough of a time. It sounds like your father is improving from what you were saying in your last post. I hope that continues to be the case. Let us know when you can ok?

Donna, you're going through a difficult time in your life. I well remember when my dad was 82 and failing and I was trying to care for him and flaring. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this and hope you're taking time to take care of yourself while still staying in contact with your dad. The emotions that you go through as he continues to fail can be so hard on your health and I encourage you to talk to friends or professionals so that you deal with this rather than keep things inside.

My heart goes out to you.

Hi Lynn, Carol, Patty and All. I am back home in Atlanta. I had to leave early because of pain and fatigue...flare (go figure). I flew back and my daughter will drive back later. I'm really happy to be home with Tim and my pets. I gotta rest now. Love, Butterflake

I was afraid the stress of all that might trigger a flare. I hope the calm love of pets & boyfriend can help keep the flare minor! My cat is on my lap purring loudly as I type this. Cheers,
