Small blisters on ring finger, anyone have this?

My right ring finger first began to swell last month, then I had to take off my ring, then these small, itchy,blister's came out, I showed my PCP last mo, he said it looked like an allergic reaction to the ring I had on, I told him how could that be, I've been wearing the same ring for 6yrs.

The blisters somedays get big and finger feels hot and itchy, I've put calomine lotion, cortizone cream only help for a few min. 

Today, finger looks like blisters are drying up, I hope it goes away.

Last January, my left index, ring and pincky finger developed same type of rash and lasted for about 2wks.

 I can remember my mom had a rash on her whole arm w/blister like, was very painfull for her and had to go to ER.  I was a teen back then, I wish I would've pid more attn. to her as she had Lupus too.

Has anyone had this happen to them?

Hi Syl, Oh yes if we could only go back and do things different. I know that one all to well. As for the blisters, yes I get them off and on for no particular reason and they itch like crazy. I used to be super sensitive to anything that was metal other than silver or gold. I still am but not quite as bad. I think it may be the meds somtimes. The only other thing I can think of is nerves or possibly if I'm getting a flare and my resistance is already low. You might try aveeno/oatmeal bar soap. That helps me with lots of rashes and itches. DON"T SCRATCH LOL I know that's like trying to hold back a sneeze. :-)

I've had this happen to me, but I traced it to liquid soap getting under there and not being completely rinsed off. Happens to me every once in awhile when I handwash the dishes. It's very painful. I hope it continues to get better for you.

Sounds like dyshidrosis, it's a form of eczema. I've gotten it since I was a child. It comes and goes and is very itchy. Sometimes it's only on one or two fingers, other times it's all over my hands. I usually only get it during the summer, most likely from all the allergens in the air. Do a google search, look at the images and see if it looks the same. Hope this helps.
