Well, I actually just got sprung from the hospital today!  I went to get a procrit shot on Wednesday and met up with Dr. Creighton in the parking lot and she sent me straight to the hospital!  I was given 80mg of lasix twice a day!  From Wednesday afternoon to Friday morning I lost 20 pounds!  I can breathe much better!  I also had to have IV antibiotics for my leg infection!

In other news and world report...My family is making preparations for evacuation.  We are just east of the gulf coast.  (I was in the hospital in Gulfport, Miss) and we are 45 miles north of New Orleans!  So, say a pray for the Miss/La gulf coast.  We are far from recovered from Katrina. 

I'm sorry I am unable to read all posts at this time!  I will check in asap!  For those of you in the "cone of uncertainty" be safe and wise!  God Bless You all, Judy

JUDY!!!  Oh my goodness.... I'm praying for you, girl.  I pray that this hurricane takes another path.  We know you won't be able to check your messages, but please know we're praying for you.  Update us when you can!

 

20 pounds!!!  How do I get myself some of this lasix stuff??? LOL.  That is awesome!  You must feel so great!  I hope your leg infection clears up asap too.

Judy, Lots of prayers are being sent your way. I'm curious as to where you're being evacuated. What a scary thought to have to leave your home and furnishings, and not knowing when you're going back home.

I'm glad you're out of the hospital and that you're breathing better and got treatment for your leg infection. We'll all be looking for your next post to get an update on you and your family.

Judy, I'm sorry you ended up in the hospital, but it sounds like you needed to go. Wow, that was a lot of weight to lose and I'm glad losing the fluid helped with your breathing. You and your family will be in my prayers. I can't imagine what the hurricane season must be like for all of you who live along the coast. Let us know how things are when you get a chance. Take care

Hi ya Judy, it's a good thing your doctor ran into you. 20 lbs. you were probably on the verge of CHF. I bet you can breath better. Bless your heart!
I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. Try to stay safe and dry.

Thanx y'all for your concern. Right now we are watching Gustav. It has wobbled a little to the west, which would take it a little further down the coast line. But, it's not in the Gulf yet, so that could change everything. Thanx for your prayers! Please remember the people of New Orleans! They are still in dire straights. In fact, just today, on the 3rd anniversary of Katrina, they buried 80 unclaimed bodies that were demised as a result of Katrina.

I loooove lasix! It can bed aggravating, but oh what a relief it is! I feel so much better, just a tad weak! I will post as soon as I know where we are going! Love you all, Judy

Well guys, my family has decided that we are riding out the storm at my brothers here in the local area! Please pray for us. It is not looking good for us. Of course, it could change many times before it reaches land. Keep your bros & sis all along the Gulf Coast in your prayers. Somebody is going to take quite a hit.

Wednesday when I went to clinic they were trying to evac. dialysis patience. There are alot of sick people who need prayer. I have an Uncle in ICU in New Orleans at Oschner. Not a good place to be, too sick to evac.! I will update ASAP. If we take a hit, we could be without power for some time!

Judy I hope if it starts looking really bad you get out. before it's to late. My sister and family live in  orlando florida. They won't get this one but they have been pounded with rain lately.

Judy, the treat of Hurricane Gustav is unimaginable and I pray that you and your family will be ok and that no danger will befall you. The best thing that could happen is that Gustav never make it to a 5 but if it does you may be in harm's way and I want to know what we can do to help you should that happen. Please let me know.

I assume that you're being pounded by winds and rain, Judy, and I hope the eye of the storm stays far away from you. Did you say that you're 45 miles north of New Orleans? The fiasco that was Katrina is assuring that more attention and help will be available. I hope you and your family is safe and warm.

Hey guys! I am safe and sound! We missed the eye. We got 60mph winds and alot of rain, still getting gust and water, but power is back on already and we faired well! Thank you for your prayers and concerns. My family on the West Bank of New Orleans continue to covet your prayers. They are dealing with water and 100% power outage. Now, we wait to see what Hanna, Ike and Josephine will do! YIKES! Hope you are all well. I'm very tired. I spent the last couple of days at my church. My sweet pastor came and got my recliner and set me up so comfortable, but there's no place like home!
So, i'm going to take a REAL bath and crash. Will talk to you guys soon! Love, Judy
