I'm really missing her. She has been gone a long time. Hi Hippi, if you see this please know I'm praying for ya. Let us know how you are doing when you can

I haven't heard form her, but her last post it sounded like she might be going into a flare. If anyone talks with her, I'd like an update, too. Meanwhile, we can all send healing thoughts/energy/prayers her way! "Link to Hippis post, 10/28/08"

I heard from Hippi on the 9th - what's that, 4 days ago - and she told me that she was recovering from a nasty 2 week flu. Here's a paragraph from her email:


"Thanks for checking in on me. I was pretty sick for quite a while and finally feel like I am coming out of it. I had a nasty body flu that had me in bed for almost 2 weeks. I only got up to take the kids places that they needed to be. Of course the flu was hard on my body which made my lupus worse too. Hubby's been a great help when he is home and he tried to make it home earlier in the evening than usual to help out and he completely took over on the weekends so I could be in bed. I was finally up and around yesterday and today."


She's so loyal to this forum that we all know if she doesn't post for a few days, there's something wrong. I suspect that even though she's recovered, her lupus flare still has her down.

Miss you hippi ((((hugs)))) have been gone alot too, for mental reasons on the isoniazid. Halfway through. Hopefully I will have a brain and nervous system left. I hope things are good with the family.

I heard from Hippi this morning. This is what she wrote:

"Sorry it took me a few days to get back to you. I haven't even been on the computer much at all lately. I just can't seem to get healthy. I went from having the flu to having sinus and upper repiratory problems which of course made my lupus flare.

I feel bad about being gone from the forum for so long and I do miss it. Could you tell everyone that I'm trying to get better and I will try to get back and post something after this weekend. We are supposed to have an early Thanksgiving at my mom's tomorrow, so I'm trying to get rested up for that."

I wish there was something I could do for her. When she gets back she'll be happy to read all of your posts.

((((Hippi)))) You sure are having a rough time. One thing after another. I know exactly how you feel. I was sick this spring/summer and the docs couldn't figure out what was wrong. I just got weaker by the day, could only walk with walker; my BF had to bathe me; my daughter dressed me and took me to appointments. Docs wouldn't admit me for fear of catching something in hosp. Once you reach that stage of weakness you wonder if you'll ever get well. Docs finally diagnosed infected parotid glands and gave me the correct antibiotic. It took many weeks to get my strength back, but I did. You will too! I just hope you recover quickly  yeah   yeah yeah   Love, Butterflake

cry  Oh Hippi, I'm so sorry you are feeling so lousey! I'm glad you got ahold of Patty (thanks Pat). The place just isn't the same without you. It's funny I was laying in bed last week just about to go to sleep and all the sudden I sat up and said Where's Hippi? redface lol. I had to get up and go to the group to find out when you posted last. Then I really got worried. You kids really need to be more considerate nono . A quick I'm sick would have been a goood thing. Just kidding I just want you to know how much your loved.

It is good to get an update on Hippi. Thank you Patty.  Pleae let her know how much we miss her and hope that she's improving every day.
