One more thing I have gained 10lbs. within a couple months and just want to eat sweets which is not normal for me.Up during the night a couple times to urinate also soetimes just making it.

Can you tell us what PAD stands for? I've never heard of it but maybe the longer name will ring a bell for one of us here. Charley horses can be symptoms of neuropathy; Your weight gain and craving for sweets is probably the prednisone. Have you checked for drug interactions? I have peripheral artery disease [PAD]. Mine is in my left leg. These are my symptoms - mind you they started out feeling rather fleeting, not worth paying attention to and they grew to a state I could not ignore.

If I walk one block without stopping, I must stop to deal with the severe cramping in my calf. It takes 2-3.5 minutes to subside. If I walk at a brisk clip up my driveway [which is 75' and inclined but not much] I get the same cramping phenomenon. I have started having some pain issues at night which the vascular surgeon says has to do with the worsening of my condition. When I initially sought help my arterial blockage was 30%. then in the last 18 months it has gotten worse and now is 40%. I was supposed to have a stent placed in last July but was ill and subsequently diagnosed with Lupus so I canceled the surgery.

You need to see a vascular surgeon for proper evaulation if you feel you have vascular disease.
