Bronchitis

I started feeling bad last week - tight chest, sore throat, stuffy head, fever & since I continued to get worse, my hubby urged me to go to my pcp yesterday. She dx'd bronchitis gave me Cipro and is going to culture what I'm coughing up.

Carol, I think you need to call your doctor to find out if they recommend you staying here Sunday night. I should get the results of my culture tomorrow so we'll hopefully know if it's viral or bacterial, but the last thing you need is to catch an infection in your lungs. I feel real lousy, but will be better in a couple of days, but this would be dangerous for you.

I'll let you know what the doc says tomorrow. Bummer.

Oh no Pat. I know you wern't well I'm sorry you aren't getting better. Don't worry about me just point me to a motel with room service and I'll be set lol. Hopefully you will feel well enough that we can see each other but I have two more apointments in feb. Thank you for thinking of me and you are right it probably would be risky but you will do better getting some rest. You will only make yourself sicker trying to entertain. been there done that got the t shirt.

If you could find me some places close to the hospital to stay though that would be good. I was kidding about room service but it would be nice if there was a restaurant close by. I woul;dn't ask but I don't know my way around there.

oh my health care worker has strep throat lol. It's all going around. I'm thinking that hospital is going to be full of germs.

I'm sorry to hear that you're sick with bronchitis, I know how miserable that can be. Have you had any news on the culture? Sounds like the doctor got you on the correct meds and I hope that you'll begin to feel much better really soon.

It's a shame that you're having to deal with this, especially when Carol is coming up there. I know you don't want to expose her to the bug. She mentioned to me that she was going to stay with you the other day. I know you're disappointed but it's probably for the best that she doesn't stay with you.

Take care of yourself, relax and snuggle up in your bed and let your hubby wait on you. Hope you begin to feel better and I'm hoping that your flare goes away soon. Let us know how you're doing.

 Oh Patty I'm sorry you are sick. I'll be fine in a motel. I'll be back on the 10th anyway. Maybe we can get together for lunch? We'll have to wait and see how it goes. They will have the results back by the 10th so I may have a better idea as to what is going on.

I just hope you will be able to get some rest with your hubby and friends having a superbowl party over there. Well I'll let you know where I'm staying and if you are feeling better maybe we can go have dinner somewhere. But no pressure. You just get well and no flaring allowed!

Carol, We're not having a superbowl party. Not the way I feel. One of my DH's son is coming over to watch it with him, but that's al.

Understand, you're still welcome to stay here. I'd love to have you, but I just don't want you to catch this. It's your choice. Regardless what you do tomorrow, you'll have to stay here on the 10th. I know how anxious you're going to be about the results!
