From what I understand, ANAs fluctuate on a regular basis. That's why doctors never rely (or shouldn't) on one specific reading. If you're concerned, why don't you call your doctor's office again just to make sure. They can always run another ANA (as long as your insurance allows that); my does not. An ANA reading is highly inaccurate, so my insurance will only pay for it like once a year or so. It's not a terribly useful test, but not sure they have anything much better. although a good doctor will tell you that medical history and symptom control is much better than a stupid lab test.
