Welcome to the forum.  If you want others to see your questions you need to start a new topic. Questions can get lost in existing threads that are about different topics.  I've pasted your two posts here for others to view.

 

Regarding your daughter, I'd seriously consider getting a second or third opinion. Does she have at least 4 of the 11 criteria needed for a Lupus diagnosis?  Click here to find the criteria.  www.lupus.org.  Sometimes we need to have a large army of doctors in order to get all the answers. Is she seeing a rheumatologist?  Only they can do all the specific testing for Lupus. I'm sorry she's struggling so much.  I'll definitely keep her in my prayers too.  What is her name?

I am so sorry to hear about your cat. We lost our main coon cat to thyroid disease. He was a member of the family.

Let me correct something from my earlier post. My daughter says that although her ANA was positive, the MD says that she does not have lupus. Her positive ANA was due to her autoimmune disorder. she has Hashimoto's, fibromyalgia, has had pericarditis, and she has this weird thing with her eyes being blurry and severe pain in her eyes. The MD says that this is Intraocular iritis also related to her auto immune disorder. She also has arthritis. As you can tell from my post, I am worried about her and would appreciate any and all input. The doctor's are not as concerned with her as I am.

I also have a My Space page set up if anyone wants to assist me with it. I am computer illiterate. It is "unseenwind". That is about all that I know about my page.

We pray for my daughter daily and also would appreciate anyone who would join me in that effort.

unseenwind, I usually post on the Fibro forum but I come here & read because my daughter has MCTD,(Lupus, Dermatomyocitis, Scleraderma) she also has Fibro, RA & migraines.  I am more concerned about her then myself also.  She is 33 now & a single Mom of 2 kids & is doing well on her own.  I don't think I will ever get over being the Mom.  I wish sometimes I could take her illnesses myself but that is not possible.  She tells me all the time to take care of myself & she will take care of herself.  She is my inspiration since I have been dx'd with Fibro & CFS.  She's right!  She has her own apartment & lives a happy life.  Her kids have learned that when Mom is sick they need to step up.  Deylan, 11, can cook like a chef & when his Mom took him to a book fair & told him to get any book he wanted he got a cookbook. LOL.  such a sweetie he is & such a help.  He is very happy & doesn't feel at all deprived or anything.  Emily, 6, can vacuum & dust & do dishes & cleans the bathroom.  She too, is such a happy child & I laugh at her all the time because she is full of joy.  But they know it is the way it is & have adapted.

I hope your daughter gets a dx soon.  That will help so much, I have seen a big difference in Misty since she is on the right meds.  I hope you find the answers you are looking for & just remember, your daughter has the strength to make it through this.  When I "let go" of Misty, she did so much better on her own.  When I believed in her, she believed in herself.

Thank you Denise and Ginny,

Today my daughter saw a neurologist who says that she has all the signs of MS. He says that her eye problem is optic neuritis which is a sign of MS. He is scheduling an MRI. She does not see a rheumatogist, but her primary physician says that she has arthritis. Her fingers become red, swollen and painful frequently. She gets discouraged because the doctors up until today have mostly dismissed her. She has in the past been followed by an endochronologist because of Hashimoto's and a nodule in her thyroid.

Her name is Susan. She is 45 and has one child.  She has 7 of the 11 symptoms of lupus.
