New symptom....New problem?

Do you feel pressure against your ribs? Im having it now from stress and something I ate. You might see you pc or gi. First they dida simple EKG to check the heart. Normal as they thought but they need to check.

My doc sent me to the gi who told me it was my stomach and gas in my stomach. He had me take maalox and changed me to a really lame diet, like brat or something for a while. It was very painful and I thought it was my liver,but looking at the diagram he showed me, it was clearly a totally bloated stomach in my case, being up high in the center of my ribs.

he also ordered an endoscopy and I ended up having angioectasia (bloody tiny blood vessels) in my duodenum. I don't know if it was from the steroids. They are a recent finding according to my doc, due to the new endoscopy machines and though they are mostly found in the elderly, they aren't sure what they mean or if they are causing any type of symptom.

I have the same problem on my bladder floor and it makes me have the symptoms of overactive bladder. I recently found out my deep veins aren't moving blood as well as they should and that is hereditary, not bad in my case, and there is nothing they can do but give me support hose. This might have something to do with the angioecstasia, maybe not. I also have angioecstasia on my face (spider veins) but they do not bleed.

This is my story. I hope it helps somehow. You are a nurse, so you know the chest pain drill. You are supposed to get it checked ASAP. I would try to nip it in the bud anyway in case its something unexpected that could get worse. And if they have to do other tests like in my case, it could take a while to get scheduled.

I believe the tiny vein bleeds must heal sometimes because I do have bouts of normal bladder function. I hope you feel better. My favorite upset belly home remedy is bicarb, but not everyone can take it. Ginger or mint tea helps alot too. I hope it is something not serious and that you can get into the doc about it and get some relief and a good dx.

Hmmm... interesting... I have the same problem from time to time ... I have always thought it was due to my asthma or a plueral rub? Usually worse at nighttime.

Hi my name is nona i have had this symtom you are describing i dont remember what the medical term is but it is the cartlidge that holds your ribs together it becomes inflammed in active lupus i have this alot and my rhumey tells me that is a sign that you have very active inflamation going on but please ask your doc to be sure but i know that it is very uncomfortable it actually keeps me home alot because i cant stand to wear a bra when it is really bad i hope this helps some and of course i hope you get some relief soon

There are several of us with angina. I have lung problems so I get a lot of that full feeling all the time. My lungs are largers than my rib cage. I try using a heating pad that at night and it does seem to help me relax. I get it mostly later in the day as well. I have a hiadil hernia. I thought it might be that along with becoming irritated by all the meds I take.

Good luck with Rotator cuff surgery, That will take some time to recover from.
