I am happy to know that there are other out there with similar situations and / or others that care about my situation an don't even know me. I'm not doing any better. My ankle is in incredible pain and I'm beginning to get knots and puss bumps all over my skull and face. My head is killing me. Thank you so much for caring about me. The night I posted my first letter I was really ready to leave this existence. I cant say I've totally changed but I've changed enough to not do anything crazy for the moment.

Rob,

I am so glad that you have posted. You have been in my prayers. So sorry you are
suffering. This forum is a place you can come to vent. We do understand your pain
and want to help you deal with your illness, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!

In my initial post to you, I suggested you tell your wife about your feelings. You should
feel no shame for getting help for your mental health as well as your physical health.
Please call your doctor and let him know what is going on. He can not refuse you,
because of your financial situation.

I hope you will come to the forum to share your feelings. There are alot of members
here who want to help eachother.

I am going to be out of town for a few days, but I will check the forum when I return
Please keep us posted. WE CARE :)

Rob i am so sorry for your suffering. I too was in so much pain from a ruptured disc in my neck. and the head pain was so unbearable i too wanted to end it. But i thought of my kids and family. I thought there has to be a light at the end of the horrible tunnel of relief. Then 3 yrs later i was approved for surgery. I still am not 100% but as for ending it that is over now.

I really think there is is tunnel of hope for you, just pray as we will too. No one is given more than they can take, so hang in there. And remember everyone here really cares, i would have been lost without these wonderful people.

I've heard that expression many times. "God only allows you to take what he knows you can handle". I've been told to look to him not as an unearthly being be as a father. Sometimes parents allow there kids to go through some problems because they know they are strong enough to get through it and they'll learn from it.

Gee golly Wally, am I super human. This is what I normally say to people. I feel like my heavenly father doesn't care. It makes me say things I'm not proud of and that depresses me even more cause do believe in him. I feel like I'm losing my mind from pain. I feel like my life has been over for then last 10 years and now I'm just not being allowed to die. I dream of that because I want the pain to end. To be released.

Hi Rob,

Just got back this afternoon. I thought I would check up on you. How are you doing?
Have you been able to talk with your doctor?

Dealing with chronic pain day after day is emotionally and physical draining. It is so
important that you get some pain relief. Hoping the doctor can find the right med
combo for you.

I practice relaxation therapy a few times a day. Along with the illness comes alot of
stress. When my stress level is high my pain is intensified, so I make it a point to
focus on relaxation using an imagery technique; I like to imagine I am at the beach.
I also listen to good music and do relaxation breathing.

Take one day at a time. Everday I choose to be happy, that doesn't mean I always am but
a positive attitude goes along way with helping me cope. I went through a grieving period
but I could no longer stay there. Focus on the positive, it really does help.

I am more appreciative of good days now and I have learned what is truly important
in my life. Everyone's life has a meaning.

Calling your doc is a good first step
