lupus lesions, how do you know?

That was me crazykitty, Robin. When I flare sometimes I get subcutaneous lesions.
Mine are Annular rings. They look like wavy red lines in a shape of an oblong circle
and vary in size. I get them on my chest and neck area. Mine have a slight burning
sensation. I woke up with them this morning. My body is flaring due to the connective
tissue disease and the fibromyalgia. I was initially diagnosed with UCTD and my
Rheumy believes I have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. A skin biospy shows I
have a scleroderma variant, which is part othe MCTD along with lupus and in my case
RA.


If you are having rashes , you should start taking pictures of them. that way instead
of describing the rashes to your rheumy you have something to show. There are many forms
of lupus.
