Newbie SLE/APS hello lupies!

 So pleased to find this site,i've had lupus now for about 9yrs,i'm 47yrs and was forced to give up a career i loved years ago and though i tried to work part time in other areas of work i was forced to give up unfortunately! I did go to college but i was so badly affected by the flourecent lights i just paint at home wen i can now! I take each day as it comes and i now know my limitations so i manage to have a better quality of life these days...saying that it's been a difficult year with flares and i'm hoping things improve and settle down at the moment!! The summer has been difficult this year with my light sensitivity!! Would love to hear from you!

Thanks Weleetka, i'm fortunate that my lupus is mild i dont have any organ damage i was so relieved when my MRI and EEG were all fine. So many lupus sufferers are not quite so fortunate!Some mornings i wake up from a dream where i was my old self doing all kinds of things i could'nt possibly do now...i have some wonderful dreams!!! I had a week once during a flare and was put on 35mg a day predisalone for a short burst by my GP...my consultant was annoyed and told me to get right down to 10! Did i feel fantastic though i did all sorts one weekend i felt like the person i had'nt been for years!
