Surgery

I'm scheduled for foot surgery on December 7. I hope I'll be off of prednisone by then. I won't be able to put any weight on my foot for 6 to 8 weeks, so I guess I'll get to be waited on during the holidays. I can't wait for this foot to stop hurting.

when i had my toe amputated i couldnt wak on it for about that long.. i had some strange boot on where it throw the weight to my heal..looks like chinese shoes the big blocked heels lol enjoy shopping this holiday season if people cause you grief run over them in either a wheelchir or those nifty scooters... i have had to befor emy mistake of course haha

Do you mind me asking what happened to your foot?  I do wish you the best with your surgery as well.  I hope that you do have enough people around to help you out...that's part of what's hard, if there aren't enough people around to help.

Thanks for all the well wishes. Elle, I have a severe bunion that's starting to cause problems with my foot, plus it hurts like heck. Reminder: ladies do not wear high pointy heels or you'll be undergoing this by the time you're my age.

I'm not worried about it and even have the choice of having them numb my leg rather than put me under. I don't like to be put under. Plus, rather than crutches, they've ordered a knee walker for me to use for a couple of months. They're pretty cool. Here's a photo:
