I have been given a new med called Savella and it has really helped me. I was ready to try for disability until the dr. put me on this. Now I can work a 12 hr day and feel only tired, whereas before I felt as if I was not going to make it. A full day of work took evrything I had to give and way more.  I was having a fibro flare and lupus flare at the same time when the dr. put me on this.  I think it is mostly for fibro but it has helped me tremendously. My feeling of well being has improved and I can actually say I feel good.  I just wanted to pass this along to you. It is a new drug so you may have to check into for your dr. I have taken this for about 5 weeks but I noticed a difference in about a week. Hope this info will help some how.  God Bless all of you.   Love and light to all Lucy Lynn

Hi lucylynn,

I just started Savella last night. Very hopeful this will help me too! Did you have any bad side effects? Are you on any antidepressant with the Savella?

Hey all, I tried Savella and it made me totally depressed and borderline suicidal, needless to say I got off that really quick. I had the same reaction to Lexipro as well. But my body reacts so strangely to meds sometimes. NSAID's make me itchy and break out in hives, Ultram made my throat start closing up, I have a similar reaction to shellfish. I kissed my DH after he had been eating mussels and almost immediately my lips started to itch. Tried Lyrica for a while, got up to 150mg 3 times a day and it did nothing for the joint pain, only thing it did do was make me totally numb during sex. WAH!!! I'm goin to a pain management clinic next month and I hope they can give me some better solutions then just Lortabs all day. Just be careful with the antidepressents because there is a warning about severe mood chnages. Good luck and God Bless. Jennifer
