I'm gluten free because I have celiac disease....but I was already gluten free when I was diagnosed with lupus (in the middle of a flare). So gluten free is not the whole answer for me. But I do eat nightshades (tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes) and I am definitely not dairy free, so I guess I'm not the best example.
I know plenty of people on the board at
celiac.com who are gluten free, soy free, nightshade free, dairy free, yeast free, etc.....some of them are doing very well after cutting all of this stuff out.
I had enough trouble going gluten free and now trying to be completely grain free (no corn, rice, etc....using coconut flour and almond flour only)....I don't want to give up my cheese and my tomatoes too!
