Prednisone effects / Addisons disease

Hi, This is PREDMED, having taken pred. 22.5 mg per day for about 15 months now. 9 months into pred, I SUFFERed a badly broken hip and femur....now my teeth are falling out...piece by piece...dentist said 3 look like pulling candidates.

With out pred, very weak and dizzy. No more pass outs like before. So it is great for that.

How to control the teeth and serious bone problems ?

Welcome to HealingWell, where we heal fast & slow, but try to go upward with every step. Heck, we even rejoice over holding steady here!

I'm afraid I can't help you, although I wonder...I was on 15mg pred for over 6 years without bone/teeth issues. Of course, my dr put me on calcium supplements the instant I started the pred.

You don't say, but...could age or some other problem besides the pred be causing this issue?

Look forward to hearing more from you, and I'm know others on here have had teeth issues...
