I am new to the forum. I had lab work run last week because I was having the following symptoms: Stiff/Achy hands and feet, swollen ankles, tired, sore muscles in morning. My doctor said she wanted to test me for RA and lupus. She ended up in the hospital so I had to get another doctor to read the results. He had his nurse call me with the results and I had no clue what they were even talking about as she was reading them to me. I just received a copy in the mail today. The nurse told me that the doctor told me that if I didn't get better to see a Rheumatoid doctor. This is what my lab work looks like:
Rheumatoid Factor - 9
CCP EGG - 16
ANA Screen - Positive (A Negative)
ANA Pattern - Homogeneous (Flag A)
Antinuclear Antibodies - 1:160 titer (Flag H)

Thank you for any help and also if anyone is from Oklahoma can give me the name of a good Rheumatoid doctor.

So sorry you are going through this. It's very important that you find a Rheumatologist that you know has good experience in diagnosing and that you are confident you can work with. It doesn't sound like your doctor is real involved in his patient. I have been very lucky in that my doctor answers my emails within 24 hours and I have gotten calls from him after 7:30 pm to discuss my lab results and condition.

I'm attaching a good web site that explains the ANA testing. I would be the last one to try to explain it to you. LOL... Anyway there is some great research on the web. Don't be afraid to call your doctor back and ask him /her to go into detail about what the tests mean to you in a way you have a clear understanding. That's what you pay them for.

Hi ADN, I agree with Minnie Mouse it would be a good idea to get back with your doctor to read your test results.

I don't think we can give recommend specific names of doctors on the forum I think it is suppose to be done by direct email.  If you list your email I can recommend two Rheumatologist in the Tulsa area.  That's where I am from.  I will check back on the forum later to see if you have an email listed.   Annie Rae
