So, I am 13 weeks pregnant and I survived the 1st trimester! However, this past week has been really hard on me. I've been so fatigued, walking up the steps causes me to almost have to catch me breath. I've only gained 5 pounds and I wasn't overweight to begin with, but I'm just so worn out. I'm walking slower, I can't get enough sleep, I constantly yawn all day and I'm stuck in a funk.
I know I've read that the 2nd trimester is going to be go great. I'd be done with feeling sick and tired (which, by the way, I wasn't tired at all during the 1st trimester) and I would feel pretty much normal again. But I'm starting to wonder, now that my baby is growing faster if I'm just tired because of that or if my Lupus with the pregnancy is wearing me out.
I'm trying to take it easy at night, cooking easy meals, drinking lots of water, getting lots of fruit.
My blood and urine tests have been more stable than they have been in a long time-which is really exciting. And, I haven't had pain and/or swelling in over 5 weeks! It's a God send-but I'm extremely tired. Can anyone give me a little insight on maybe what to expect being pregnant with this disease. I know everybody is different, but to have someone to talk to that understands will help me feel a little better.
Thanks!
Tammy
