Hi, I just got back my blood results and I have a positive ANA, DSDNA and Sjogrens A.  I went to a Rhuemotolgist and she did not seem to concerned and has scheduled me to come back in two months and have my blood work re tested to see if it has changed at all.  She said my results were suggestive of Lupus and that she thinks I have a mild case and did not recommend me starting any meds at this time.  My question is, I feel weird all of the time....  When I read up about lupus, I do not really have all of the symptoms.  I am not tired or achy...  My issues all seem to be in my head and neck.  I get this dull pressue and buring sensation in my head adn neck and I feel light headed and dizzy alot.  Is this really lupus or something else.  I am really worried it could be cancer.  Can you test positive for these tests for cancer as well?  No one in my family has lupus.  It just seems strange.....  I also have nausea every day and I always feel worse after eating.  Any advice?  THank you!

Thought i'd say hi and sorry you're not feeling well! Trouble with lupus is as you will have gathered if you've been reading up!There's a multitude of different symptoms and they can mimic so many other deseases so it can and in my case did take years for a full diagnosis. Sounds like you need more tests there's deffinately something wrong though! I suffered with terrible headaches and problems with balance at first and was later diagnosed with Hughes syndrome along with SLE but initially i was said to have vertigo?migraine?eye problems? sent all over the place to different specialists and a neorologist who said i was just depressed...drove me round the twist as it just got so bad i was dissfunctional by the time i got help and that was through fighting fot it! Hope you get some relief soon!

Hey there! Wanted to welcome you to the forum! Sorry you are not feeling too well. I am supprised you were not started on plaquenil, which is generally prescribed when you get a lupus diagnosis. My advice is to make a journal and document how you feel each day, any new symptoms, what your pain rate on a scale of 1-10 is. This can be very helpful to you and to your rhuemy.

Have you had your BP checked when you are light headed and dizzy? I get like that when my BP drops to low. Is the nausea happening after a dizzy/light headed spell??
